Stars Like I've Never Seen Before by Darrell Chan

It was the last night before we left Big Bear Lake, CA. We had just finished playing games all night (pick up Blockus!) when I stuck my head out the window and saw this amazing view! I have never seen so many stars in the sky and this by itself might have made the whole trip worth it.

I love San Francisco. Better yet, I love San Francisco food!

Got to meet up with a ton of friends and usually that means a lot of eating. Just look at all these noms! From start to finish: 21st Amendment Brewery & Restaurant, Little Madfish, Snowflake Tea House, Katana-Ya, DELICA, State Bird Provisions, Local Edition, San Jose Taqueria, Il Cane Rosso, Hog & Rocks, Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, Roka Akor, Dim Sum King, Elbo Room, Izakaya Sozai, In-N-Out, , Tacos Mexico, Mas' Chinese Cuisine.. and 3, 2, 1, pictures.

You didn't think I'd go to San Francisco without getting ramen, did you? - Katana-Ya Shio Ramen

Taro Snow Ice

All in all, it's a miracle I didn't come back 20 pounds heavier! Can't wait to head back out there soon. :)

Ebony & Dominique by Darrell Chan

This couple has been hoping for this day for years. When I asked about their story, I didn't expect them to say that they were high school sweethearts.  Since then, they had been apart and gone through rough times, but they always kept drifting towards each other. It wasn't until recently when they decided to finally tie the knot. And aren't they glad they did!

It was a short and sweet wedding and that was all they really needed. With all the comfort of some good southern cooking and sweet tea, it really had a sense of home. Congratulations to you both!

Here are some photos from the day!

Sunrise in the Mountains by Darrell Chan

I spent a weekend at Timberline this weekend and it's really mornings like this that your worries just seem to disappear. It's nice to take a step back from life and get a breath of fresh air. You just can't find air this crisp and refreshing in the city!

Thanks TAP-DC for letting me crash their retreat weekend!
